Visakhapatnam: India defeated South Africa by eight wickets in the third and final ODI at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, sealing a 2–1 series win. The team put aside their Test series disappointment and now enter the five-match T20I series with strong momentum.

South Africa set a target of 271 runs, but India made the chase look simple. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma gave the team a perfect start with a 155-run partnership.

Rohit played a fluent knock of 75, including three towering sixes, and crossed a major personal milestone by becoming only the fourth Indian to surpass 20,000 international runs before he fell to Keshav Maharaj.

Jaiswal continued confidently and stayed unbeaten on 116. Virat Kohli joined him after Rohit’s dismissal and added an unbeaten 65 off 45 balls, helping India finish the match comfortably.

Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bowl. After an early wicket, Quinton de Kock and captain Temba Bavuma added 113 runs for the second wicket. De Kock played a fine innings of 106, but South Africa lost quick wickets later and collapsed from 170 for 3 to 270 all out.

Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna were the standout bowlers for India, taking four wickets each.
