Beaverton: Nike is set to increase prices on a wide range of products beginning June 1, a move the company says is part of its routine seasonal planning but one that comes amid growing uncertainty around US trade policy and consumer demand.
The price hikes will affect a variety of sneakers, apparel, and equipment. Most shoes priced above $100 will increase by up to $10, while apparel and gear will rise between $2 and $10.
Flagship styles such as the Air Force 1 and all items under $100 will remain unaffected. Products for children and those under the Jordan brand are also excluded from the changes.
“Nike regularly evaluates its business and makes pricing adjustments as part of its seasonal planning,” a spokesperson said in a statement. Nearly all Nike footwear is manufactured in Vietnam, China, and Indonesia regions recently targeted in the Trump administration’s proposed tariff expansion.

Although those tariffs were paused for 90 days in April, import duties on footwear can range from 32 percent to 54 percent, potentially raising costs across the board. Competitor Adidas has already warned that tariffs could lead to higher prices on popular models like the Samba and Gazelle.
In a separate move, Nike confirmed it is returning to Amazon after a six-year hiatus, aiming to re-engage with US consumers through the online retail giant. The decision comes as Nike faces declining sales in its home market and seeks to broaden its e-commerce footprint.
