Sharjah, UAE: The organisers have announced that the much-awaited first edition of the STAR OF SECTOR Awards has been officially postponed, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining uncompromising standards of corporate recognition and long-term credibility.
In a press statement, the organisers said that although there was a strong global response with more than a hundred nominations, fewer than ten applicants met the strict criteria of excellence required for the awards.
As a growing brand in the field of corporate reputation management, backed by the authenticity and credibility of GCC Business News and Emirati Times, the management decided that there could be no compromise on the awards’ integrity or quality. Therefore, the event has been deferred to ensure that these standards are met.
A representative of the organising committee said that postponing the event was a conscious decision to protect the programme’s quality rather than compromise it. The official statement also noted that even though the decision involved financial and operational challenges, it was necessary to maintain the credibility of the awards.
Managed by WellMade Network FZC LLC and jointly presented with GCC Business News and Emirati Times, the STAR OF SECTOR Awards were established to honour genuine innovation and lasting impact across various industries. The awards recognise only 32 recipients each year and aim to set a new benchmark in corporate reputation and excellence across the GCC region.
While acknowledging the costs involved in postponement, the organisers described the move as “an investment in long-term excellence.” They emphasised that maintaining exceptional standards is essential to building STAR OF SECTOR as a trusted brand in today’s dynamic global business environment.

“Prioritising commercial gain over merit would defeat the very purpose of our initiative,” a WellMade Network spokesperson told Indo Arab News. “This decision reflects our continued commitment to transparency, quality, trust, and the core values that guide our editorial and brand philosophy.”
The updated dates and nomination guidelines are expected to be announced by the second week of December. The organisers said this time will be used to refine evaluation methods and attract stronger candidates.
With growing interest within corporate circles, STAR OF SECTOR continues to position itself not just as an awards platform but as a hallmark of integrity-driven business recognition.
