Abu Dhabi/New Delhi: The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
The UAE President expresses full solidarity and support with India during a phone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Saturday.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that, President Mohamed bin Zayed conveyed heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives in what he described as a “barbaric” attack.
Prime Minister Modi, in response, appreciated the UAE President’s sentiments and words of sympathy. During their conversation, both leaders reiterated that terrorism must be rejected unequivocally in all its forms and manifestations. “PM conveyed India’s strong resolve to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime and their supporters to justice,” Jaiswal added.

The terror attack on April 22 in the picturesque town of Pahalgam has left 26 people dead, making it the deadliest incident in Jammu and Kashmir since the Pulwama strike of 2019.
Most of the victims were tourists visiting the region at the time of the attack. The Pahalgam tragedy has drawn widespread condemnation from the international community, with several countries and global leaders voicing solidarity with India and emphasizing the need for united action against terrorism.
The UAE’s swift and strong condemnation underlines the deepening strategic and security partnership between India and the Gulf nation.
