New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has rolled out the FASTag Annual Pass starting this Independence Day, offering private vehicle owners a convenient and cost-effective way to pay tolls on national highways. The pass allows users to pay a one-time fee for an entire year or up to 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first.
The initiative aims to streamline toll payments, reduce queues at toll plazas, and spare drivers from the hassle of repeatedly recharging their FASTag accounts.
Unlike standard FASTag recharges, the Annual Pass functions like a subscription, providing uninterrupted service without the need to track account balances.
The FASTag Annual Pass is a prepaid toll plan designed for non-commercial vehicles, including cars, jeeps, and vans. Announced by Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, the pass costs Rs 3,000, covering either 200 toll payments or one year from the date of activation.
The pass can be seamlessly integrated with existing FASTag accounts, allowing drivers to enjoy a smoother travel experience.
