New Delhi: India is set to catch Pokémon fever again as Niantic announces the arrival of Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global to Indian shores.
The world’s most beloved augmented reality mobile game will light up the country on June 28–29, 2025, transforming five major Nexus Malls into vibrant arenas of digital adventure and community spirit.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, Nexus Seawoods (Navi Mumbai), Nexus Select CityWalk (Delhi), Nexus (Hyderabad), Nexus Mall Koramangala (Bengaluru), and Nexus Vijaya Mall (Chennai) will serve as epicenters for in-person Pokémon GO festivities.

These malls will be reimagined as Trainer-friendly hubs filled with rare Pokémon spawns, rotating in-game bonuses, avatar items, exclusive research tasks, and live events. “We’re building vibrant spaces where communities gather,” said Nishank Joshi, CMO of Nexus Malls.
Virtual meetups will pop up in 26 Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Kolkata, and more. These pop-up hotspots will convert local parks and hangouts into live arenas of collective exploration and social interaction, maintaining the game’s essence of mobility and togetherness.
The mythical Volcanion, a rare Fire- and Water-type Pokémon, will debut in Pokémon GO for ticket holders on Day 1. Players who complete the exclusive special research storyline will unlock a chance to encounter and capture this elusive creature, a first in the game’s nearly decade-long history.

Adding to the excitement, Shiny Carbink and Shiny Frigibax will make their first appearances in the wild during the two-day event. Rotating habitats will also introduce a fresh mix of field research tasks, themed spawns, and in-game perks, promising variety and excitement for both casual and hardcore Trainers.
