US:Stranger Things’ Season 5 has taken Netflix by storm, setting unprecedented global streaming milestones. The platform announced that the sci-fi horror series garnered 59.6 million views in its first five days, making it the most-watched English-language show premiere in Netflix history.

Released on November 27, the final season quickly rose to the top of the Global Top 10 chart. According to Netflix, Season 5 made the top 10 in all 93 countries tracked and claimed the No. 1 spot in 90 of them.

The show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, described the response as overwhelming, expressing gratitude to fans, actors, and the thousands of artists who contributed to the series. They also promised exciting developments in Volume 2, set to be released later.

The impact of Season 5 extended to previous seasons as well. For the first time, all earlier installments of Stranger Things re-entered the global Top 10 simultaneously. Season 1 secured the No. 3 position with 8.9 million views, followed by Season 4 at No. 5 (6.1 million views), Season 2 at No. 6 (5.6 million views), and Season 3 at No. 8 (4.6 million views). Collectively, the first four seasons have now amassed 1.2 billion views since their release.

The first four episodes of Season 5 are currently available for streaming, with three more episodes scheduled for release on Christmas Day. The series finale will arrive on Netflix on December 31, concluding the decade-long journey of the beloved show.
