Kuwait City: India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah to discuss ways to deepen bilateral ties and exchange views on the rapidly changing situation in West Asia.
During the meeting, Jaishankar conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Crown Prince and thanked him for his continued support in strengthening India-Kuwait relations.
Dr. Jaishankar appreciated the Crown Prince’s commitment to expanding cooperation between the two countries. EAM also thanked him for sharing Kuwait’s perspectives on developments in the Gulf region.
According to Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry, the leaders reviewed the longstanding relationship between India and Kuwait and discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation across a range of sectors.
Later, Jaishankar held talks with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral partnerships and expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

The two ministers also exchanged views on recent regional and international developments, reflecting the close coordination between the two countries on key global and regional issues.
Following the talks, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister hosted a luncheon in honor of Jaishankar and the Indian delegation.
Jaishankar arrived in Kuwait on Tuesday, where he was received by Deputy Foreign Minister Hamad Suleiman Mashaan Al-Mashaan. His visit to Kuwait is part of a four-nation Gulf tour covering Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman from July 5 to 10.
The visit comes at a time of significant political developments in West Asia, following recent diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions involving the United States and Iran.
