Officials described the agreement as another major step towards boosting technological and defense cooperation under the upgraded strategic partnership.
Earlier in the day, Singh paid tribute to Vietnam’s founding leader, Ho Chi Minh, at his mausoleum in Hanoi on the occasion of his 136th birth anniversary. He praised Ho Chi Minh’s leadership and his enduring contribution to national liberation and global solidarity, saying the India-Vietnam friendship continues to be rooted in mutual respect and shared values.
Singh arrived in Hanoi on Monday for a two-day visit that comes at a significant moment in bilateral relations. This year marks a decade of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Vietnam, which was recently elevated to an Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during President To Lam’s visit to India earlier this month.
